The circular architecture of the building (Ta Dzong) allows for a spiral path through Bhutan’s history. The top floors offer a magnificent view of the Paro Valley and the airport.

The Watchtower
Built in 1649, the building originally served as a watchtower to protect the Rinpung Dzong from Tibetan invasions. It was converted into a museum in 1968.
The museum has a special gallery dedicated to the wildlife of Bhutan, featuring the national animal, the Takin.
