A stunning 9th-century temple complex at the base of the hills, showcasing some of the finest stone carvings from the Chola and Hoysala eras.
What To Expect?
A transition into ancient history. The temple is famous for its massive and ornate 'Kalyani' (temple tank) with stone steps. The interior pillars are intricately carved with figures of deities, flora, and fauna. It is much quieter than the hilltop and offers a deeply spiritual and artistic environment.

The complex houses three temples: Arunachaleshwara (representing childhood), Bhoga Nandeeshwara (youth), and Yoga Nandeeshwara (old age).
The 'Shringi Teertha' (tank) is believed to be the source of the South Pennar River.

Located in Nandi Village at the foot of the hills, about 15 minutes from the hilltop entrance.
