A popular vantage point named after Captain Lamb, offering views of the Hulical Ravine and the plains of Coimbatore.
What To Expect?
A peaceful spot surrounded by coffee and tea plantations. A short walk from the parking area takes you to a rocky outcrop overlooking a sheer drop. The view of the railway line snaking through the hills far below is a favorite for photographers. It is much quieter than the viewpoints in Ooty.
Tips
- Carry a light windcheater as the winds can be strong and chilly at the outcrop.

A Captain's Discovery
Captain Lamb discovered this spot while trying to find a route to the plains. The path is lined with colorful wildflowers and ferns.
The area is excellent for birdwatching; look for the Nilgiri Flycatcher and the Great Hornbill.

Located 7 km from Coonoor town, on the way to Dolphin's Nose.
