More About Gulmarg Gondola Ride
The Gulmarg Gondola is a two‑stage cable car system operated by the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC). It is the single most iconic attraction in Gulmarg. Locals often say, 'Gondola nahi ki, toh Gulmarg nahi dekha'—if you didn't ride the gondola, you didn't really see Gulmarg.
The ride is divided into three parts: Phase I connects Gulmarg resort to the bowl-shaped Kongdori Valley; Phase II takes you to the shoulder of Apharwat Peak; and a separate Chairlift connects Kongdori to Mary's Shoulder, a prime spot for international skiing events.
