Overview
An eco-tourism site on the banks of the Cauvery River where visitors can watch and participate in elephant grooming and feeding.
What To Expect?
You have to cross the Cauvery River via boat (or walk if the water is low) to reach the camp. You can watch elephants being bathed in the river and even participate in 'Elephant Grooming' for an extra fee. River rafting is also available nearby during monsoon.

- Carry a change of clothes if you plan on participating in the elephant bathing or rafting.
Exploring Dubare Elephant Camp
Conservation Effort
Dubare was once used to train elephants for the famous Mysore Dasara festival. Today, it is managed by the forest department as a conservation and education center.
Apart from elephants, the area is excellent for bird watching, with sightings of Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, and Peacocks common.
How to reach Dubare Elephant Camp
Located 30 km from Madikeri town. Taxis are the most convenient mode of transport.
