The Heart of Vrindavan

Overview
Dedicated to Lord Krishna in his 'Tribhanga' posture, this temple is famous for its unique tradition of curtains being drawn every few minutes.
What To Expect?
An intense, high-energy devotional experience. The deity is hidden and revealed behind curtains repeatedly to prevent anyone from looking into his eyes for too long, which is believed to make the Lord leave his seat. The chants of 'Radhe Radhe' fill the air, and the atmosphere is electric with faith.

The Legend of Swami Haridas
The temple was established by Swami Haridas, a great devotee and contemporary of Tansen. It is said that the idol appeared by itself through the intense devotion of the Swami.
Unlike other temples, no bells or conch shells are sounded here, as the Lord is believed to be in a playful, childlike state and should not be startled.
