The most famous landmark of Haridwar, this sacred ghat is where the evening Ganga Aarti transforms the riverbank into a sea of gold and fire.
What To Expect?
A powerful spiritual vibration. During the evening Aarti, priests chant Vedic hymns while rotating massive brass lamps. Thousands of small leaf-boats with flickering lamps (diyas) are released into the river, creating a mesmerizing sight. The Brahmakund area within the ghat is considered the exact spot where the drops of Amrit fell.

- Reach the ghat at least 45 minutes before the Aarti to secure a sitting spot.

Exploring Har Ki Pauri
The Celestial Connection
Har Ki Pauri literally means 'Steps of the Lord.' It was built by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bharthari, who meditated here.
During the Kumbh Mela, which happens every 12 years, millions of devotees gather here to take a dip, believed to wash away lifetimes of karma.
How to reach Har Ki Pauri
Centrally located in Haridwar. It is about 2 km from Haridwar Junction Railway Station, easily reachable by e-rickshaw or walking.
