A serene alpine meadow at 2,680 meters, serving as the base for the trek to Tungnath—the highest Shiva temple in the world.
What To Expect?
Endless rolling green meadows (Bugyals) surrounded by a forest of deodar, pine, and rhododendrons. The 4-km trek to Tungnath is exceptionally beautiful, often crossing through snow patches even in late spring. From the Chandrashila summit above the temple, you get a 360-degree view of Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi and Trishul.
