Dramatic, precipitous edges with clouds often floating below you. It is one of the quietest and most scenic spots in Meghalaya. A long staircase leads down the cliff to the village of Rasong, which was the only way for villagers to reach the city for decades.

Laitlum literally means 'End of the Hills'. It has been featured in several Bollywood movies because of its resemblance to the Scottish Highlands.
The area is often covered in thick mist that clears up to reveal a sudden, stunning depth of green.

Located 22 km from Shillong city. A 45-minute drive via local taxi is the best way to reach.
