An adventurous, bumpy ride through steep forest trails. At the peak, you are surrounded by mist and endless rolling green hills. It is one of the best locations for cloud-watching in the Western Ghats.

The Off-Road Adventure
Private cars are not allowed to go all the way to the top due to the dangerous terrain. You must switch to a local 4x4 Jeep at the Mandalpatti junction.
The wind at the peak is very strong, and the temperature is significantly lower than in Madikeri town.
How to reach Mandalpatti Peak
Located 18 km from Madikeri. You drive about 14 km and then take a hired jeep for the final 4 km off-road stretch.
