Also known as Tip-In-Top Point, Tiffin Top is the highest point in Lansdowne, and offers 360-degree views of the valleys and mountains from the viewing platform.
What To Expect?
A peaceful ridge walk through thick forests of pine and oak. From the viewing platform, you can witness the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas, including the Chaukhamba and Trishul ranges. It is an ideal spot for nature photography, quiet meditation, and enjoying a crisp mountain sunrise or sunset.
Tips
- Wear sturdy and comfortable walking shoes as the terrain involves a bit of a climb and forest paths.
- Arrive before 6:00 AM if you want to witness one of the most beautiful Himalayan sunrises.
- Carry your own water and light snacks, as there are limited commercial stalls right at the viewpoint.
- Bring binoculars to get a closer look at the distant snow peaks and local birdlife.
- Ensure you return to the main road before it gets completely dark, as the forest paths are not well-lit.

Tiffin Top, popularly referred to as Tip-In-Top, is a small hilltop viewing point located approximately 1.5 km from the main Lansdowne market. Situated at an altitude of over 1,700 meters, it offers one of the most serene environments in the Uttarakhand hills.
The point is particularly famous among travelers for its unobstructed views of the deep valleys below and the towering Himalayan peaks in the distance. It is located very close to the historic St. Mary’s Church, making it a central part of any Lansdowne walking tour.
