Exploring Howrah Bridge (Rabindra Setu)
Engineering Feat
Built in 1943, the bridge used 26,500 tons of steel, supplied by Tata Steel. It doesn't use nuts and bolts; it is held together by rivets.
It was renamed Rabindra Setu in 1965 after the great poet Rabindranath Tagore.
