Murudeshwar is a popular pilgrimage destination for the devotees of Lord Shiva, located about an hour and a half away from Gokarna. The town is famous for the Murudeshwar Temple, which is built on Kanduka Hill and is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea.
The main attraction is the giant Shiva statue, which took about two years to build and is the second tallest of its kind in the world.
