Alibaug Beach is the main beach of the town and is well known for its clean, expansive coastline. Unlike many white-sand beaches, Alibaug features primarily blackish sand and several rocky stretches, giving it a distinctive character.
The beach serves as the primary jumping-off point to reach Kolaba Fort. During low tide, visitors can enjoy the adventure of walking across the sea bed or taking a horse-driven carriage to the fort. In the evenings, the shoreline comes alive with food stalls serving local Konkani snacks and refreshing coconut water.
